Ingredients
- 4 cups of Daawat Biryani Basmati Rice
- Water
- 8-10 black peppers
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 cardamoms
- 6 cloves
- 1.5 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp ginger
- Ghee
- 1 cup of curd
- 1.5 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp chili paste
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp Kasuri methi
- Salt
- 2 tbsps chopped coriander
- 1 kg chicken breast
- ½ a cup of chopped onions
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped ginger
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- ½ tsp of garam masala
- ½ tsp biryani masala
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- Mint leaves
- Fried onions
- Kewra water
- Diced onion rings

Step by step guide
- Step 1 Take 4 cups of Daawat Biryani Basmati Rice and wash it properly with water 2-3 times. Then soak it in fresh water for 1 hour.
- Step 2 Add 6 cups of water to a pan. Then add 8-10 black peppers, 2 cinnamon sticks, 4 cardamoms, 6 cloves, 1.5 tsp of salt, 1 tsp ginger, and 1 tsp ghee.
- Step 3 Now add the soaked rice to this mix, cover, and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Step 4 Take another pan and add 1 cup of curd, 1.5 tbsp mustard oil, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tbsp garam masala, 1 tsp black pepper powder, 1 tbsp chili paste, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 tbsp Kasuri methi, salt to taste, and 2 tbsps chopped coriander. Then whisk it all together.
- Step 5 Then add 1 kg chicken breast and marinate the mixture for 30 minutes.
- Step 6 Add 1 tbsp of oil to a pan and then add the chicken to it. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes. Flip halfway.
- Step 7 In another different pan add 1 tbsp of ghee, ½ a cup of chopped onions, 1 tbsp chopped garlic, 1 tbsp chopped ginger, 1 cup of chopped tomatoes, and salt to taste. Add ½ tsp of garam masala, ½ tsp Biryani masala, 1 cup of tomato puree, and the previously prepared marinated paste.
- Step 8 Add 1 tbsp red food coloring to the mix, 1 cup water, and the prepared chicken. Then add the prepared rice, mint leaves, fried onions, and kewra water.
- Step 9 Add another layer of the prepared chicken and then a layer of the prepared rice on top. Top it off with some mint leaves, fried onions, and kewra water.
- Step 10 Seal the vessel with kneaded dough, cover, and cook for 10 minutes. Finally garnish with mint leaves and diced onion rings, and your Chicken Tikka Biryani is ready to serve!
