tbsps pure maple syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1 quart vanilla ice cream
1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts |
Vanilla Icecream With Maple-Walnut Sauce

Method:
- Simmer maple syrup and salt in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until slightly
thickened, for about 5 minutes (do not stir).
- Add 1/2 cup ice cream and whisk until smooth, for about 1 minute. Stir in walnuts.
- Scoop remaining ice cream into bowls. Spoon sauce over and serve.
- Tip: Can be made 4 hours ahead. Cover and chill. Re-warm over low heat, stirring often.
