Ingredients:

1 (16 oz) pkg regular sausage (cooked, drained and crumbled)
4 cups day old bread, cubed
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
10 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cans (12 fl.oz each) evaporated milk
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
Fresh ground pepper to taste
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
1/2 cup peeled & chopped tomatoes (optional)

Method:
  1. Place bread in greased 9x13" baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
  2. Combine milk, eggs, mustard, onion powder and pepper in a medium bowl. Pour evenly over the bread and cheese.
  3. Sprinkle sausage and optional ingredients over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 325� F. Bake uncovered for 55 to 60 minutes. Tent with foil if top begins to brown too quickly.
    Makes 6-8 servings
