6 cups dry French bread
cubes
2 cups crumbled corn bread
3 beaten eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
12-oz. fresh oysters, drained and chopped
1 (12-13 lb.) turkey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced
Roast Turkey With Oyster Stuffing
Method:
Preheat oven to 325� F. Combine first nine ingredients. Stuff turkey. Tie legs
together. Brush with oil and rub with garlic.
Place turkey, breast side up in roasting pan. Insert thermometer into thickest part of
thigh. Roast uncovered at 325� F. for 3-1/4 to 4-1/4 hours or until thermometer registers
180� F.
Cover with foil; let stand for 15 to 20 minutes before carving.
