3 cups uncooked rice
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp water
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups cooked ham, chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 cup frozen green peas
3 cups water
1/4 tbsp each minced garlic, cayenne pepper and thyme
Ham Pilaf
Method:
Fry the rice in oil until golden brown. Add 2 tbsp of water, onion and cook until onion
is transparent.
Combine with remaining ingredients in a large, heavy pot.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes or until rice is tender and
liquid is gone.
