Ingredients:

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Additional granulated sugar

Drop Sugar Cookies

Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 375� F. Stir together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in mixing bowl; set aside.
  2. Beat butter, oil and sugars in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Add flour mixture, beating at low speed until well mixed.
  4. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
    Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
    Preparation time: 20 minutes
