Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Chocolate-walnut frosting

Chocolate Sheet Cake

Method:
  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease and flour 15 * 10 inch jellyroll pan.
  2. In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, soda and salt.
  3. In small saucepan, bring butter and water to a boil and stir into sugar mixture.
  4. Whisk in buttermilk, eggs and vanilla until thoroughly blended. Pour batter into prepared pan (batter will be thin).
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Frost while warm with Chocolate-Walnut frosting. Let cool, then cut into 24 pieces.
    Makes 24 servings.
