Ingredients:

1 original cream cheesecake, cut into wedges, thawed
2 tbsp butter or margarine
2 medium tart cooking apples, peeled and sliced (2 cups)
1/3 cup maple-flavored syrup
1 tbsp light brown sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Apple Maple Cheesecake

Method:
  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apples; cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or just until tender.
  2. In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Add to apples in skillet.
  3. Cook, stirring frequently, for 2 to 3 minutes or until syrup is bubbly and slightly thickened. Cook 1 minute more. Remove from heat; refrigerate 10 minutes.
  4. Spoon apple mixture over cheesecake; sprinkle with walnuts.
    Makes 6 servings.
    Preparation time: 15-20 minutes
