Ingredients:

1 1/2 teacups maize flour
1 teacup plain flour (all-purpose flour)
3 tsps oil
3/4 tsp. salt

Corn Tortillas

 

Method:
  1. Mix the flours, oil and salt and make a dough by adding enough warm water. Knead the dough well and keep aside for 1/2 hour. Knead again.
  2. Depending on the diameter you require for the dish, roll out the dough into that size thin rounds with the help of a little flour.
  3. Cook lightly on a tava (griddle) and keep aside.
    Makes 12 tortillas
    Preparation time: 45 minutes
