1/2 recipe tomato sauce
Butter or oil for greasing
To be combined into a topping:
8 fresh mushrooms, blanched and sliced
8 black olives, sliced
1/2 cup red pepper, diced
1/4 cup cooked sweet corn kernels
2 to 3 pickled jalapeno peppers, sliced
1/2 tomato, diced
1 small onion, sliced
1 tbsp. celery, sliced
1/4 tsp. mixed dried herbs or oregano
Salt to taste
For baking:
1/2 cup cooking cheese or mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp. olive oil or oil |
Deep-Dish Veggie Pizza

Method:
- Roll out the pizza dough into a circle of 200 mm. (8") diameter and 8 mm.
(1/3") thickness. Line a 150-mm. (6") greased pie dish with it.
- Spread the tomato sauce over the base and fill with the topping. Top with the cheese and
finally drizzle the olive oil over it.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180° C (360° F) for about 20 minutes or until the base is
evenly browned. Serve hot.
