Ingredients:

400 gms fresh paneer
2 tomatoes, pureed
1 tsp red chili powder
A pinch of turmeric
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
Sufficient oil
Blend to a paste:
2 medium onions
1" ginger piece
4 flakes garlic
2 green chilies
Powder together:
2" cinnamon stick
2-3 cardamoms
2-3 cloves
1 tbsp poppy seeds
2 tbsp cashew nuts

Shahi Paneer

Method:
  1. Cut the paneer into cubes, deep fry in oil till golden brown, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion paste till it begins to brown.
  3. Mix in the poppy-cashew nut powder mixture. Fry for a minute and then add the pureed tomatoes.
  4. Add some water and bring to a boil. Add salt to taste.
  5. Now, add the fried paneer, heat through and serve hot.
    Serves: 4-5
    Preparation time: 40-45 minutes
