Ingredients:

4 large boiled potatoes
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp rock salt
3 tbsp white sesame seeds
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 lemon

Piru Aloo

Method:
  1. Roast the sesame seeds in a dry pan till they start crackling. Remove and scatter on a large plate.
  2. Peel the skin of the potatoes and cut into medium sized cubes.
  3. Squeeze the lemon juice into a small bowl. To this, add salt, rock salt, chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and mix well
  4. Gently mix the potato cubes with the above mixture, so that they get well coated with the lemon juice and masalas.
  5. Stick a toothpick into each potato cube. Dip the cube into the sesame seeds, till it is well coated.
  6. Serve these as tempting fillers.
  7. An attractive way of serving Piru Aloo at a party is to stick the other ends of the toothpick into a top of a cut cabbage. Stick all around the top of the cut cabbage.
