| Ingredients: 1 tomato, chopped
3 red chilies
3 garlic flakes, crushed
Salt to taste
20g tamarind, soaked in hot water
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tsp rasam powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chili powder

Method:
Heat oil in a pan, fry the mustard and cumin seeds, red chilies and curry leaves until
they splutter.
Then add crushed garlic and fry until it gets golden brown. Also add chopped tomatoes,
turmeric and cook for a while until the tomatoes get soft.
Now add tamarind water, salt, rasam powder, chili powder and water if required.
Boil them until bubbles appear on them. Remove from heat and garnish with cilantro
leaves.
Serve hot with plain rice.
