Ingredients:

2 cups boiled pea paste
50g arrow root
150g khoya
2 cups sugar
4 cardamoms, powdered
Oil or ghee (butter) for frying
Red cherries for garnishing

Peas Gulab Jamun

Method:
  1. Mix sugar with sufficient water and make a syrup. Remove from heat and keep aside.
  2. Put a heavy-bottomed pan over the fire and fry the pea paste till the water evaporates.
  3. Add the fried paste to khoya and arrow root. Add powdered cardamom and knead to soft dough. Make even sized balls out of the dough.
  4. Heat sufficient ghee in a pan, and fry the balls on low heat. Fry 4-5 balls at a time.
  5. Dip the balls into the sugar syrup and keep aside to cool.
  6. Garnish with red cherries and serve.
