Ingredients:

500g green peas
1/2 cup gram flour
A pinch of soda-bi-carbonate
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 tsp black pepper powder
1/3 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp asafoetida
2-3 green chilies, chopped
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
Oil for frying

Method:
  1. Make a thick batter of gram flour with water. Add soda-bi-carbonate, salt, black pepper, asafoetida, green chilies and coriander. Mix well.
  2. Add the fresh peas into the gram flour mixture.
  3. Deep fry in oil by dropping small portions of the mixture.
  4. Fry on both the sides till golden brown. Remove with a perforated flat spoon or strainer.
  5. Serve hot with any sauce or chutney.
