Ingredients:

2 cups rice flour
50g green gram
50g black gram
150g ghee
25g sesame seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
A pinch of cooking soda
1/2 cup grated coconut
Salt to taste

Method:
  1. Mix both the green gram and black gram, add water and pressure cook for 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat, mash the mixture and keep aside.
  2. Mix the rice flour with sesame seeds, cumin seeds, cooking soda, salt, melted ghee, grated coconut and the above mashed mixture.
  3. Add water if required and form a smooth dough. Insert this dough into murukulu maker and press the dough into hot oil.
  4. Fry them until golden in color and crispy. Remove from oil, drain and place them in an air-tight container. These will long for 10-20 days.
  5. Serve them with any chutney or coffee or tea.
