| Ingredients: 5 drumsticks, cut into 1" pieces
2 cups basmati rice
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3-4 tbsp cashew nuts
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 sprigs curry leaves
5 green chilies, slit into thin pieces lengthwise
3 onions, cut into thin slices
3-4 tbsp oil
1 tsp chili powder
A pinch of turmeric powder
Salt to taste |
Rice With Drumsticks

Method:
- Heat oil in a deep pan, add mustard and cumin seeds. When they begin to splutter, add
drumstick pieces, cashews and fry for a while.
- Also add ginger-garlic paste, chopped onions, green chilies and fry until the onions get
light brown.
- Then add chili powder, turmeric, curry leaves, salt and fry until the drumstick pieces
are slightly tender. Remove from heat and keep aside.
- Wash the rice well. Add sufficient water to the rice, prepared drumstick mixture and
place in a cooker. Cook until the rice is done and serve hot.
