Ingredients:

5 drumsticks, cut into 1" pieces
2 cups basmati rice
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3-4 tbsp cashew nuts
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 sprigs curry leaves
5 green chilies, slit into thin pieces lengthwise
3 onions, cut into thin slices
3-4 tbsp oil
1 tsp chili powder
A pinch of turmeric powder
Salt to taste

Rice With Drumsticks

Method:
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan, add mustard and cumin seeds. When they begin to splutter, add drumstick pieces, cashews and fry for a while.
  2. Also add ginger-garlic paste, chopped onions, green chilies and fry until the onions get light brown.
  3. Then add chili powder, turmeric, curry leaves, salt and fry until the drumstick pieces are slightly tender. Remove from heat and keep aside.
  4. Wash the rice well. Add sufficient water to the rice, prepared drumstick mixture and place in a cooker. Cook until the rice is done and serve hot.
    Serves: 3-4
    Preparation time: 40 minutes
