Ingredients:1
1/4 cup red chilies
1/2 cup bengal gram dal
1/2 cup black gram dal
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1 tsp. asafoetida powder
2 tbsps powdered jaggery
Small marble-sized tamarind (optional)
2 tsps oil
Salt to taste |

Method:
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the red chilies, black gram dal, bengal gram dal,
asafoetida powder and sesame seeds.
- Mix powdered jaggery, tamarind, salt to the above ingredients and grind to coarse
powder.
- This makes an excellent accompaniment to dosais and idlis.
