| Ingredients: 750 gms boneless fish, cut into small
fillets
3 tbsp oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 1/2 tsp onion seeds (kalonji)
6 whole dry red chilies
2 tsp finely chopped garlic
2 tomatoes, chopped
3 tbsp desiccated coconut
Salt to taste
1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped |

Method:
- Wash and pat dry the fish
- Heat oil in a frying pan, add onions and fry until golden brown
- Add onion seeds, red chilies, garlic and coo for 2-3 minutes.
- Also add tomatoes, coconut, salt, coriander, cumin and chili powders. Cook for another
10 minutes.
- Now add the fish pieces along with water, cook for 10 more minutes until fish is tender
and water has almost evaporated.
- Mix in lemon juice and coriander leaves. Serve hot with plain rice or jeera pulao
