Ingredients:

2 lbs ground meat (lamb, beef or turkey)
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp chopped fresh ginger
4 garlic flakes
2 tbsp water to blend onion, ginger, garlic
3/4 cup oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp ground cumin seeds
1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
2 tbsp ground coriander seeds
1/2 tbsp turmeric
20 oz packet of frozen peas
3 hard boiled eggs, halved
4 tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp crushed cardamom seeds
2 medium sticks cinnamon
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander
Salt to taste

Khulla Kheema

Method:
  1. Puree the onion, ginger, garlic and water in a blender
  2. Heat oil on high heat in a pan, add cumin seeds and puree and fry for until the puree acquires golden color. Stir to prevent burning.
  3. Add the ground meat and fry well breaking up lumps for about 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add the grounded cumin, cayenne pepper, coriander, turmeric, peas, salt and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Now add the eggs, cream, cardamom, cinnamon, water and cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes by covering the pan.
  6. Sprinkle fresh coriander on top and serve.
