Ingredients:

15 almonds
8 cardamom pods
10 pepper corns
1 1/4 cups milk
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp fennel seeds
1 tsp white poppy seeds
3 - 4 tbsp sugar
Crushed Ice

Almond Milk Shake

Method:
  1. Soak almonds overnight. Drain and put in a blender with 1/4 cup water. Blend to a smooth paste.
  2. Grind seeds from cardamom with fennel, peppercorns and poppy seeds. Soak this ground seed stuff with remaining water for 1hr or more.
  3. Strain this liquid through 3 folds of cheese cloth, add the almond paste, milk and sugar. Mix well and serve over crushed ice.
  4. For lassi add yogurt in place of milk. Add 3/4 drop of rose essence.
    Serves: 2
    Preparation time: 30 minutes
