Ingredients:

Potatoes (medium size) 10
Turmeric powder 1 sp
Red chilly powder 1 1/2 sp
Dhania powder 1 1/2 sp
Cumin powder (jeera) 1 sp
Salt to taste
Garam masala powder 1 1/2 sp
Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 sp
Curd 1 cup
Kalonjee (onion seeds) 1/2 small spoon (optional)
Cumin seeds 1/2 sp
Mustard seeds 1/2 sp
Curry leaves 10-15
Chopped coriander 1/2 cup
Water 1/2 cup (optional)
Oil 1/2 cup

Spicy Potatoes In Curds

Method:
  1. Peel wash and cut potatoes into 1 inch pieces, add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chili, coriander, garam masala, jeera powders, salt, 1/4 cup chopped coriander. Mix well and let the masalas coat the potatoes, keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add cumin and mustard seeds. When it starts crackling add curry leaves and the potatoes. Keep sauting it occasionally.
  3. When potatoes are 3/4 done add curds and mix well and let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes till the potatoes are cooked.
    Note: If little gravy is desired add half cup of water. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with parathas or rice.
    Serves: 5-6
