Ingredients:
Grains:
Toor Dhal - 1 cup
Chana Dhal - 1 cup
Lentil - 1/2 cup
Wheat grain - 1/4 cup
Urad Dhal - 1/4 cup
Rice - 1/4 cup
Moong Dhal - 1/4 cup
Additional ingredients:
Green Chili - 4
Dried red chili - 4
A piece of ginger
Fennel - 2 Tablespoons
Onion - 1 (Chopped)
Asafoetida and coriander (cilantro) to taste.
Oil for frying |
Seven Grain Vadai Snack |
Method:
Soak all the grains in water for 2 hours.
Drain the water and coarsely grind the mixture with green and red chilies and ginger.
Add the fennel, coriander leaves, asafoetida, onion and make into vadai patties.
Fry in oil over a medium flame until cooked, turning over gently.
Serve with Cranberry Chutney / Tomato Chutney.
