dal 1 cup
Green chilies 5
Onion 1 small
Tomato 1 large
Garlic 3 flakes
Turmeric powder 1 tsp.
Corianderleaves 1 bunch
Curry leaves few
Oil 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste |

Method:
- Pressure-cook the dal with 2 cups of water. The dal should be well cooked. Mash the
cooked dal and keep aside.
- Crush the garlic. Mince the onion, green chilies, tomato and coriander leaves.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they crakle, add curry leaves, minced
onions, green chilies, crushed garlic and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes and turmeric powder, fry for 2 more minutes. Add 2 cups of water and salt.
Boil it for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with plain rice or chapathis.
