Ingredients:

100gms rice
2 liters milk
500 gms sugar
1/2 tsp kesar (saffron), dissolved in 2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp ghee or butter
Whole garam masala
1/4 tsp saffron color
2 tbsp almonds (for garnishing)

Muzaffar

Method:
  1. Soak rice in water for 2 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a heavy bottom vessel & add ghee. Now add whole garam masala.
  3. To this add the soaked rice & fry for 2 minutes. Pre heat the milk in a seperate pan. Now add this milk to the rice & cook until very soft.
  4. Now add the kesar, saffron color, sugar & cook for 5 more minutes.
  5. Garnish with chopped almonds. Serve warm.
    Serves: 5
    Preparation time: 1 hour
