Moong dal - 1 cup
Jaggery - 1 cup
Shredded cheese - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Roasted cashew nuts - 6 (pieces)
Roasted almonds - 6 (pieces)
Roasted raisins - 6
Ghee - 4 Tbsp

Method:
Soak moong dal for 1/2 hr. Grind the soaked dal coarsely. steam cook the ground dal for
5 mts.
Crush the cooked dal into small crumbs in the form of upma.
Heat jaggery in a pan by adding 1/2 a cup of water and prepare the syrup. Add cardamom
powder and let it boil well for 2 mts.
Add the prepared dal with the jaggery syrup and mix well. Add some ghee and stir the
mixture well.
The jaggery syrup should dry and must not stick with the pan. Add the cashews, almonds
and raisins. Garnish with shredded cheese on top.
