Ingredients:

Chana dal (1 cup)
Urad dal (1 tbsp.)
Moong dal (1 cup)
Fresh coconut - grated (1/2 cup)
Green chilies - 5 (chopped)
Ginger (2")
Garlic - 2 cloves
Mint (pudeena) 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Oil to fry
Onion - big, chopped
Coriander - 1 cup

Masala Vada

Method:
  1. Soak all lentils, grind coarsely adding garlic, salt, ginger.
  2. Mix coriander, chili, onion, mint and very little baking soda.
  3. Heat oil and make small size vadas and deep fry in oil to golden colour.
  4. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
    Serves: 4
    Preparation time: Approximately 60 minutes
