| Ingredients: Basmati rice - 1 kg
Mutton/chicken - 1 kg
Ginger-garlic paste - 200g
Cardamoms & cloves - 3g
Cinnamon - a small piece
Onions - 600g
Tomatoes - 450g
Green chilies - 40g
Lemons - 2 (juice)
Yogurt - 200ml
Pudina (mint) leaves - 1/2 bunch
Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch
Salt to taste
Chili powder - 2 tsp. (adjust, if spicy)
Oil - 300 ml |

Method:
- Heat the oil, add cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon and fry for a minute.
- Add onion, ginger-garlic paste and stir fry for 5 minutes. Then add tomato, green
chilies and fry.
- Now add chicken or mutton, salt, chili powder, keep it closed until gets cooked. Then
add lemon juice, yogurt, pudina and coriander leaves.
- Then add rice and water to it, when this boils, close the lid and pressure cook in low
heat until done. Garnish & serve with salad!
- Garnishing: In oil fry 2 - 3 onions till it becomes light brown and also fry raisins
& cashew nuts.
- Note: Ratio of rice to water is 1:1.5, adjust the water left over in cooker after the
meat gets cooked. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes, drain & then add!
