Ingredients:

1/2 kgs white chana - kabuli chole soaked overnight with a pinch of soda bicarbonate
2 large onions, slit lengthwise
2 large tomatoes, chopped finely
4-5 green chilies, slit
1 inch piece of ginger, grated
Garam masala - 1 tbsp.
Red chili powder - 1 tsp.
Coriander powder & cumin powder - 1 tbsp. each
Salt as per taste
Amchur powder - 1 tbsp.
Chopped coriander
Oil - 2 tbsp.

Chole

Method:
  1. Boil the soaked chana in the pressure cooker with little water till soft - 20 minutes on medium flame.
  2. In a pan heat oil, add onions, ginger and green chilies. Fry till brown.
  3. Add all masalas and saut� for 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and fry till oil leaves the masala.
  4. Add chana. If the water is more drain some water from the chana. Mix well, and let it cook on medium flame for 10 minutes.
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with Bhatura or Naan or Bread.
    Serves: 6
