Ingredients:

8 slices bread
2 medium onions
3 green chilies
A little piece of ginger
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp mustard & urad dhal
Salt to taste

Bread Upma

Method:
  1. Grind bread slices into fine powder in a mixer. Finely cut onions, green chilies & ginger.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add mustard seeds and let it split. Add urad dhal and fry till golden brown.
  3. Add chopped onion, green chilies, salt & ginger. Fry till onions turn into golden brown.
  4. Add bread crumbs and stir continuously for 2 to 3 min. Do not add any water. Set flame off and serve hot with any chutney (usually not needed).
    Serves 2 to 3.
    Preparation time:15 minutes.
