Forest Cake
Ingredients: 225g
maida (all-purpose flour)
1 tin condensed milk
125g butter
3-4 tbsp cocoa
1 bottle (200ml) aerated cola
drink
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda bicarbonate
1 cup cream
1 small tin cherries
25-40g chocolate bar |

Method:
Lightly grease and flour a baking tin. Preheat the oven to 150
degrees C.
Melt the butter in a pan, cool and add condensed milk.
Sift together the maida, baking powder, soda and cocoa.
Mix the maida with the condensed milk-butter mixture
alternating with cola till the maida and cola are over.
Immediately pour into the prepared tin and bake for 30 to 40
minutes at 150 degrees C.
Cool and slit horizontally into two.
Whip cream till light and fluffy. Sandwich the two layers of
cake with whipped cream and destoned cherries.
Top with whipped cream and cherries. Sprinkle generously with
grated chocolate.
Chill and serve.
Serves: 12

Tip of the week
